Job Description: Nyaaya Hindi Lead
Nyaaya is looking for a Senior Lawyer who can lead Nyaaya’s Hindi work. This position will be based out of Delhi or Bihar.

Nyaaya is an open-access, digital resource that provides simple, actionable, reliable, and accessible legal information to Indian citizens. We want to enable access to information about the law in multiple Indian languages so that citizens can access justice irrespective of their background.
Description of position
As the Nyaaya Hindi Lead, you will be at the forefront of our mission to empower citizens with legal knowledge in Hindi. We are looking for a lawyer with more than 5 years of experience, who wants to create change in the way that people in India engage with the law.
In this role, you will translate legal concepts into easy-to-understand explanations in Hindi. Your expertise in the field will be crucial in shaping the narrative of legal awareness and enhancing citizens' understanding of their rights and responsibilities.You should possess a deep understanding of the law and demonstrate a passion for bringing a positive societal impact.
Responsibilities
Your primary task will be to lead the Nyaaya Hindi vertical.
As a Hindi Lead, your responsibilities will include the following:
● Leading Legal Awareness Programs: You will conceptualize, spearhead, and oversee impactful legal awareness programs conducted in Hindi. You will be responsible for liaising with our on-ground partners and para-legal volunteers in Bihar and beyond. You will also be the point of contact for any follow up questions and grievances that may arise over the course of and/or after the legal awareness programs.
● Video Content Creation: Collaborating with the Nyaaya team, you will oversee the creation of compelling and informative video content in Hindi. Your expertise in law and communication will help make this legal information accurate and easy to understand.
● Website Management: You will play a vital role in updating and maintaining the Nyaaya Hindi website. You have to ensure that the online platform remains up-to-date and user-friendly and showcases Nyaaya's content effectively to a Hindi-speaking audience.
● Expanding Hindi Content Reach: You will need to identify ways to amplify the reach and impact of Nyaaya's Hindi content. . You will also create content for campaigns, both online and offline, especially in Bihar, collaborating with the Outreach Lead to ensure the broadest possible reach for Nyaaya's content.
● Monitoring Performance and Data Analysis: You will analyze the performance of the Hindi content and gather user feedback to make data-driven improvements. Your strong analytical skills will ensure the continuous enhancement of Nyaaya's work.
● Managing Nyaaya Hindi Social Media Platforms: You will undertake the responsibility of overseeing and managing the Nyaaya Hindi social media platforms. You will closely collaborate with the Nyaaya Content Lead and Communications Manager to strategize and implement the Nyaaya Hindi Social Media Calendar, to ensure that Nyaaya’s content is widely disseminated.
● Manage Ask Nyaaya: As the Manager of the Ask Nyaaya Legal Helpline, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and streamline the process of answering legal questions received through various channels, including the website's Google form and comments section. You will coordinate with our volunteer cohort of experienced lawyers and law students to ensure timely and accurate responses to these questions. Your role will involve verifying the answers and then delivering them to the individuals who asked the questions.
Requirements
Mandatory
● Experience Requirement: Minimum five years of experience in either practicing or teaching law
● Fluency in Hindi: As the Hindi Lead, you must possess exceptional proficiency in the Hindi language, both written and verbal.
● Willingness to Travel: The role requires frequent travel to various locations in Bihar and/or Delhi and possibly other regions to conduct on-ground legal awareness programs and video shoots. You must be willing and able to travel as needed to reach diverse communities and maximize the impact of Nyaaya's initiatives.
● Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities are essential for effectively guiding and collaborating with our diverse team of lawyers. You should exhibit a proactive approach in leading and motivating team members to achieve common goals.
● Ability to Collaborate: The role involves close interaction with multiple state and NGO partners and government stakeholders like the District Legal Services Authority etc.. Your capacity to establish and maintain productive relationships with these stakeholders will be crucial in ensuring the seamless execution of Nyaaya Hindi’s goals and objectives.

● Experience in creating engaging video content in Hindi.
● Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
● Previous experience in Hindi research and content writing is desirable.
